A 61-year-old woman underwent computed tomography (CT) angiography for evaluation of syncope and was found to have a central pulmonary artery filling defect (Fig. 1). During an attempted intravascular ultrasound-guided biopsy of the lesion, the patient coded and died. Autopsy confirmed the case as a rare presentation of Rosai-Dorfman disease (Fig. 2 and Supplementary Figs 1 and 2). Supplementar...

A young male presented with recurrent neck swellings with initial leucocyte count of 16800/mm3, with non-caseating glands on ultrasonography neck. FNAC showed mixed cellularity with histiocytic and marked lymphophagocytosis as seen in Rosai Dorfman Disease. Immunohistochemistry demonstrated CD 25, Ki 67 and CD 68 in histiocytes. Her responded to supportive treatment alone.
متن کاملRosai-Dorfman disease mimicking a sphenoid wing meningioma.
A 40-year-old male presented with a single generalized tonic-clonic seizure. MRI revealed an enhancing, dural-based, left lateral sphenoid wing lesion suggestive of a meningioma. At microsurgical excision, the lesion was firm and relatively avascular. The histopathological report revealed S-100 positive histiocytic proliferation with lymphophagocytosis (emperipolesis) characteristic of the Rosa...
